Falher declares Day of the Honey Bee


Day of the Honey Bee on July 29 was officially celebrated in Falher under the world’s largest bee statue in Bee Park by (from left) Falher Honey Festival coordinator Denise Pipella, Municipal District of Smoky River Reeve Robert Brochu, Town of Falher Mayor Margaret Tardif and festival volunteer Lorraine Desaulniers. Faher Honey Festival celebrates 20 years on June 17 and 18.



Shortage of physicians very critical

Medical relief will arrive soon – at least temporarily – with another physician for the Smoky River region, which faces a serious shortage for an area of just over 5,000 people.


Countdown on for Donnelly playground grand opening
