Falher Pirates clinch first in NPHL East


The Falher Pirates clinched first place in the North Peace Hockey League east division after wins last week. Pirates' player Joseph Schropfer shoots the puck on the Grimshaw goaltender as Falher doubled the Huskies 6-3 in a physical game to avenge the Pirates' only loss of the regular season. Falher outshot Grimshaw 50-16 in the game. For full story, see Page 9.



Desaulniers named Falher interim rec coordinator

A recreation coordinator has been appointed for the Town of Falher – at least in the interim until a permanent person is recruited.

Regional chamber survey due at end of month

A survey to all businesses and members of chambers of commerce in the region has been circulated to gauge support to form a regional chamber of commerce under Smoky River Chamber of Commerce which could be formed as early as this spring.
