The Local Actors Having Fun Troupe, or LAHF Troupe, held its annual dinner theatre at the Jean Coté Community Hall on March 1 and 8. Pictured above are the 14 cast members who performed 'A Mid Winter's Nightmare' in front of a packed house, while trying to solve the mystery of who murdered the court jester. The dinner theatre served as a fundraiser and represented the group's eighth annual performance in the Smoky River region. A story and additional photos about the event can be found on Pages 10 and 11 of this week's Smoky River Express.
I can remember back to my childhood, seeing photos of my paternal great-grandmother’s mink farm in B.C. There were a lot of pelts on several logs in each photo, and some pelts showed signs of blood on them during the drying process.
When Smoky River hockey players hit the ice this Friday for the start of the 2014 Investors Group Atom ‘C’ Provincial Hockey Championship in Falher they'll do so knowing they have the full support of the community and region behind them.
