Hockey takes McLennan by Storm
Residents from McLennan and the greater Smoky River region received their money’s worth and then some Feb. 13 during a mixed hockey fundraising game between the Grande Prairie Junior ‘A’ Storm and the McLennan Knights midget team. An estimated 225 people attended the one-of-a-kind event, which raised approximately $1,000 for the local hockey club.
