Over $48,000 funding major tourism boost
It’Smoky River Tourism Association has surprisingly, and gratefully, received funding of $28,485 from the provincial government and $20,000 more from Smoky River Regional Economic Development. At its regular meeting April 12, the tourism board was delighted with the government funding.
McLennan council fine-tunes municipal development plan
The Town of McLennan is in the process of tweaking its municipal development plan through Mackenzie Municipal Services Agency. Council and administration reviewed the information in detail at its April 9 meeting after meeting face-to-face with Nathan Petherick, director of planning for the Berwyn-based agency.
