Village of Donnelly has a full council with five councillors although it had to stretch nominations several days.
Two newcomers have joined council along with three veteran members.
Those new faces include Myrna Lanctot and Vance Yaremko, who will work with veteran councillors Susan Lafreneire, and Daniel Bouchard.
I want to serve the community by giving my time, say Lanctot, a bus driver and janitor for High Prairie School Division.
I want to give back to the community, adds Lanctot, who has lived in the region since 1988 and been active with Smoky Bear Junior Forest Wardens.
Yaremko serves as manager of Smoky Applied Research and Demonstration Association (SARDA).
Im interested in local government, says Yaremko, a resident of Donnelly for 10 years who serves as vice-chair of Guy-Donnelly Sportex Society.
Im looking to see how I can help improve the community.
Working for SARDA, Yaremko has experience applying for funding from provincial government and consulting with government ministers and officials.

Incumbents deciding who will fill
last vacancy
Longtime mayor Charly Doyle and veteran councillors Sharon Doucet, and Gerry Benoit were deciding among themselves who would return to fill the vacancy, Doyle told the Express late last week.
If sufficient nominations are not received after six days of nominations, the returning officer is required under the Local Authorities Election Act to notify the Minister of Municipal Affairs who may recommend a change in the number of councillors.
Reduced speed limit
Motorists who frequent the highway are reminded to pay close attention to reduced speed limit construction signs and slow down when approaching Watino from either side of the roadway.
Were requesting the cooperation of drivers to help ensure the safety of construction workers and the traveling public, Saunders says.
The existing bridge completed in 1950 at a cost of $841,000 will be disassembled and removed from the site by Sept. 15 of 2010.
