G.P. Vanier Christmas Concert
Georges P. Vanier high school in Donnelly held its annual Christmas concert on the evening of Dec. 20. The event included performances by the school’s junior and senior bands. (Top picture) the Grade 7 band played a number of festive tunes, including We Wish You A Merry Christmas. The students were followed by the Grade 8 band and senior band (middle top), which played O Come All Ye Faithful among other tunes. Wrapping things up was the Grade 9 band (middle bottom) performing Silent Night and holiday favourite Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer. Vanier’s concert also included the on-stage theatrics of Dave Pedden’s Grade 9 drama class as well as the senior high drama class (bottom), which kept the audience in stitches with its modern day performance of “The ‘B’ Team” – a spoof on the 1980s hit television series The ‘A’ Team.
