Upwards of 80 seniors from throughout the Smoky River region gathered in Falher for the fifth annual Club Alouette seniors’ fun day on Feb. 20.
Eagles advance to second round of NPHL playoffs
The brooms were out in full force Feb. 23 as the Lakeland Eagles of McLennan completed a clean sweep of the Valleyview Jets with a 7-5 win which vaulted the team into the second round of the North Peace Hockey League playoffs.
Winter Games net no medals but plenty of memories for local girls
Five young ladies of the Smoky River region came home with many memories but no medals at the Alberta Winter Games on the weekend of Feb. 14 to 17.
