Falher Knights of Columbus held its Council’s Basketball Free Throw (Lancer Libre) Competition Feb. 23 at Georges P. Vanier School in Donnelly. Seven students registered for the event with five participating – all of whom received a participation certificate in addition to a ribbon. Students finishing first in their respective age category also received a Knights of Columbus free throw championship engraved plaque. Participants in Donnelly included Ritchie Caron, Jared McArthur, Leslie Osbak, Aciff Williams and Zak Williams. They were joined by Knights of Columbus organizer Raymond Begin. McArthur and Carond, age 11, were the only students who participated at the St. Mary School even in Spirit River March 15 Both participated in the district competition with Caron winning a silver medal and a bronze in the regional competition.
