The Smoky River Soccer Club season continues to run in full force on the soccer pitch at Donelly’s G.P. Vanier school. Stephanie Dempsey, president of the regional soccer club, says the response to this year’s soccer program has reached an all-time high with more than 200 children in the region registered in the program. One of the most significant changes to this year’s program is the welcome addition of brand new jerseys for all the kids. The jerseys and matching socks were made possible through the generous support of local businesses, which chipped in by sponsoring the new duds.
