The Smoky River Soccer Club is sporting a new look this year. And it’s all thanks to the generous financial support of businesses throughout the Smoky River which answered the call for assistance by making monetary donations to help cover the cost of the new duds. “We’re just so grateful to all of the businesses that stepped up to the plate by sponsoring our new jerseys,” says Stephanie Dempsey, president of the regional soccer club. In return, the soccer club placed the names of all the company sponsors on the jerseys as a fitting way to recognize them for their support. Response to this year’s soccer program, meanwhile, is at an all-time high with roughly 200 kids participating. Executive members of the soccer club would like the thank all volunteer coaches for their time and commitment to the program this year.
