Providence school in McLennan handed out awards to their students on June 25. The award ceremony was to congratulate students on a job well done throughout the school year. Students from grade 1 to grade 9 were recognized for their hard work in all endeavours. Citizenship award recipients were as follows:

Justine MacInnis earned the Peter Welch Student of the Year award for the 2007-2008 school year.
Catholic Women’s League Award was given to John-Paul Maure.
Sisters of Providence award recipient was Marie-Josee Valiquette.
An attendance award was also given to Teressa Blais.
The 2007-2008 school year was capped off at the celebration.
Recognition was given to students who showed dedication to their work, attendance, and athletic abilities.
