The demolition of Falher Alfalfa plant began last week. The long standing plant closed its doors officially early this year. An auction took place on June 25 to get rid of surplus items on site. The plant went into receivership on Feb. 1 after long struggles against rising prices and the untimely high Canadian dollar.

New Falher town councillor assigned
’Town of Falher residents have picked a new councillor to represent them on town council. Gilmour Farley was chosen during a bi-election on July 7 by the community as the person they would like to see on town council.
Ernest Nicolet recognize by Town of Falher
Ernest Nicolet was recognized by the town of Falher as the first centenarian in the town in a special ceremony on June 21.
