The 12 surviving members of the Gervais family include Rene Gervais, Raymond Gervais, ROmeo Gervais, Gerry Gervais, Richard Gervais, Denis Gervais, Annette Dupuis, Paul Gervais, Therese Simoneau, Marcel Gervais.

The descendants of Arthur Gervais and Rita Doucet got together on the August long weekend for a family reunion at the Falher Municipal Campsite. Arthur and Rita had 18 children. The twelve surviving children were all present at this reunion. They included Paul (Falher), Marcel (Peace River), Therese Simoneau (High Prairie), Richard (Falher) Romeo (High Prairie), Annette Dupuis (Falher), Rene (Falher), Raymond (Falher) Gerry (Falher), Mary-Jeanne Mucci (Grande Prairie), Denis (Falher), and Lilianne (Prince George, B.C.). Also present were 31 of 53 first cousins and 48 of a possible 92 children of the first cousins. In the 53 first cousins there are now eight who are grandparents. Out of a possible 23, 17 of this generation were there. All those present had a wonderful time getting reacquainted. We also want to thank Lynn and Mitch Florence owners of Fern's Greenhouse for giving us numerous baskets of flowers. There were quite a few family members who left on Monday morning with a beautiful basket of flowers to enjoy for the rest of the summer. All in all everyone agreed we should not wait another 14 years for the next one. It was a great success.
