Chalifoux and Valiquette take YL Country qualifying open in McLennan

Terry Kozak was one of the 29 golfers to participate in the YL Country Qualifying Open Tournament held at Smoky River Regional GOlf Course in McLennan on the weekend of July 26 to 27.

Two new faces emerged as victors at this year's YL Country Tournament of Champions Qualifying TOurnament, held July 26 to 27 at the Smoky River Regional Golf Course in McLennan.
Taking top honours in the Men's Championship Flight title was Doug Chalifoux with Anges Valiquette earning the top spot on the ladies side.
Finishing second place overall behind Chalifoux was Hank Willier while Loretta Beaver was second behind Valiquette.
The two-day tournament attracted 29 golfers.
Men's First Flight: (1) Earl Ominayak and (2) Ed Toker.
Men's Second Flight: (1) Matthew Cunninghame and (2) Clarence Dumont.
Ment's Third Flight: (1) Joe Chalifoux and (2) George Wakaluk.
Ladies First Flight: (1) Fern Laderoute and (2) Oma Casault.
Ladies Second Flight: (1) Sharlene Island and (2) Hazel Laboucan.
The top golfers in each respective flight automatically receive an invitation to compete at the 2008 YL Country Tournamen of Champions.
