McLennan RCMP is seeking the public’s assistance in helping to identify an individual caught on a video surveillance camera during a break-and-enter at Falher Co-op in mid-September.
RCMP Cst. David Dionne says the incident, which resulted in an estimated $5,000 in damage to the property, took place during the early morning hours on Sept. 13, 2008 at around 4:30 a.m. when a male suspect broke into the local retail grocery store.
The male suspect is described as Caucasian with a medium build, approximately 5’10” tall and weighs approximately 175 pounds. He has blond hair with a pony tail and was caught on camera wearing a black long-sleeved shirt, blue jeans, white running shoes and a dark baseball cap.
RCMP say the man gained access into the business by breaking the front window with a sledge hammer. He then unsuccessfully attempted to break into the cigarette display which was locked before proceeding into the main office where he attempted the same task on a safe.
The suspect managed to flee on foot shortly before police arrived on the scene. No merchandise was stolen from the store.
Anyone having information related to the identity of this individual is encouraged to contact the McLennan RCMP or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
