"Speak out and be heard" Students from Georges P. Vanier School in Donnelly were given a round of applause for their efforts last week to help improve Alberta’s education system as part of the “Speak Out - Alberta Student Engagement Initiative.” Alberta Education selected the school to host a speak out regional forum on the morning of Feb. 19. The forum, which included the participation of 45 students from grades 9 to 12, gave youth the opportunity to discuss their views of the education system, including what works for them and what they would like to see improved.
