Flyers win NPHL playoffs

Grande Prairie Athletics fought tooth and nail to win the final round in the North Peace Hockey League Finals, but came up short four games to two against the Fort St. John Flyers.
Flyers won the final game of the best-of seven series with a blow-out 10 – 3 victory in game six.
Game five was was a 7 – 3 decision for the Flyers.
Game four was also in Flyers hands as they beat the Athletics 8 – 2. Game three proved to be Grande Prairie’s last win with a score of 6 – 1. Four Flyers finished as scoring leaders, with Pirates Jason Bouchard coming in fifth.
