Another Fas Gas winner has been put in the books for Kimiwan Konfectionary in McLennan, proving yet again local shopping can be lucrative.
Allin Chalifoux from High Prairie has won free gas for one year from any Fas Gas in Canada.
“This is a special promotion to promote business,” says Kimiwan Konfectionary owner Danielle Drouin. “Every time a customer fills their tank full of fuel, they are given a scratch card and have the opportunity to win a number of prizes.”
Chalifoux has won up to $2,500 worth of fuel from any Fas Gas across Canada. He says he feels very lucky to have won the prize.
“Just a week before I scratched a card and won a free coffee,” says Chalifoux. “Imagine my surprize when I ended up winning free fuel.”
Chalifoux was presented with his prize on March 27 at the Kimiwan Konfectionary by Drouin and Parkland Industries Territory Manager for Dealer Operations Raema Racher of High Prairie. The prize consists of $2,500 worth of redeemable Fas Gas coupons for fuel at any participating Fas Gas.
Racher says there are a number of prizes available to be won through the Fas Gas promotion.
“This is the second time a Kimiwan Konfectionary customer has won free fuel,” Racher says. “Other prizes include instant prizes for $100 worth of fuel, $3 off next fuel purchase, and a number of confectionary items.”
The diversified petroleum company specializes in wholesaling, retailing and transportation operations, and convenience store operations with subsidiaries consisting of Fas Gas, Fas Gas Plus, Race Trac fuels and Short Stop Food Stores. In addition to its own brands, Parkland has branded distributorship agreements with Esso, Sunoco, and Petro-Canada.
Parkland Industries geographic reach includes British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Yukon and Northwest Territories, with a focus on non-urban markets.
“It was definitely a great surprize winning such an amazing prize,” says Chalifoux. “Thanks to Fas Gas for the great shock.”
The scratch-and-win contest lasted from Feb. 1 until March 31.
The last winner was Jocelyn McArthur from McLennan who won free gas for a year in November.
