McLennan cash bonspiel fundraiser exceeds expectations
Veteran Girouxville skip Donald Dumont lines up
a key shot (with second Fern Doucet and lead Harry Notenbomber standing by) during
Sunday’s ‘A’ Event final against the Kelsey Dusseault rink. Dumont and his
experienced team went on to defeat the opponents 6 – 4, avenging a loss to
the same team in last year’s ‘A’ Event final.

Public popularity for the McLennan Curling Club’s second annual cash bonspiel fundraiser
continued to spread like wildfire April 3 to 5 as a growing field just shy of two dozen
teams took to the ice in support of a new community centre for the town.
