Whitemud quad rally raises over $20,000 on April 25
The Whitemud quad rally featured over 40 km of
trail for avid outdoors-people to enjoy. This picture shows the second creek
on the trail which many people had difficulties getting up. Approximately 660
people participated in the quad rally on April 25. Organizers say participants
came from Vegreville, Red Deer, Whitecourt, Edmonton, Sherwood Park, Fox Creek,
Grande Prairie, Drayton Valley, Manning, and Chetwynd, BC. The Falher Recreation
Development Society sold 1,119 hands, grossing $15,940. T-shirt and concession
sales, along with ticket sales on the Redline donated prize of four rims and tires,
raised $4,567 that weekend. Organizers and volunteers had to go out on the trail
to pull out multiple quads on Sunday following the Whitemud quad rally.
