Town of McLennan council is requesting your help in obtaining photographs to be displayed at the Smoky River Tourism centre in Falher.

At the tourism regular meeting at the beginning of April, communities were discussing their displays at the centre. The town of McLennan would like to improve their selection of photographs at the centre for tourists coming into the region.

“Because we are know as the Bird Capital, we would like to have some more photographs of birds in McLennan,” said councillor Gary Braithwaite at McLennan town council meeting on April 30. “We are hoping some local people will have photos we can use for our display.”

Councillors also discussed the necessity to have additional photos from around the community. They expressed that there are many beautiful things in the community tourists should be aware of as they decide where in the region they’d like to travel.

“We would like to have a variety of pictures to beef up the display we have at the centre,” says Braitwaite. “We hope people will come forward with some of their talent to share with the public.”

If you have any photographs of McLennan you’d like to share with town council, please email them to Tammy Stout at twnmcl@serbernet.com.
