Major accident east of Girouxville: STARS called to rescue

Investigation revealed that the lone female driver was travelling eastbound on Twp road 782 when she lost control of her vehicle and rolled in the driving lane. The cause of the accident is believed to be a result of the driver’s negligence.

On May 6, at around 5:20 p.m., the McLennan RCMP received a 911 call regarding a single vehicle rollover on Twp road 782, about 500m east of Girouxville.
The McLennan RCMP responded along with Smoky River Fire and Rescue and Peace Country EMS.
Investigations revealed that the lone female driver was travelling eastbound on Twp road 782 when she lost control of her vehicle and rolled in the driving lane.
The cause of the accident is believed to be a result of the driver’s negligence.
The female driver was transported by STARS helicopter to the Grande Prairie QE II hospital, where she will recover from her injuries.
The exact cause of the accident is still under investigation by the McLennan RCMP.
