Up Front - How about trying to get a high from life?

I am on a mission to help eliminate drugs from our community, more specifically from our local schools.
For the past five or six months, I have been approached by teachers and concerned parents, who have opened my eyes to the drugs our local children have access to.
Most frighteningly is not the access alone, but their ability and success of purchasing it and using.
Currently, at local high schools, children have access to ecstasy. This drug is very popular amongst our local teens, and don’t automatically think your child is not the one using.
Apparently students in different circles are trying the drugs available right at their doorsteps. From conversations I’ve had with local RCMP, there is virtually nothing administration at the school or the RCMP themselves can do about the drug situation.
Cop dogs cannot be allowed into the school without a note given to parents, making them aware the dogs will be at school.
Perfect! So all these druggies at school, more specifically the teens who are dealing, can clean out their lockers and make themselves look innocent.
Since when should minors have any rights? The only rights they should have in my mind, is the right to food, shelter, education, and comfort.
People under the age of 18 should not be allowed to have ANY privacy.
Parents should have the ability at any time of day to walk into a child’s room and check if they are involved with anything illegal.
Parents should not be scared to reprimand their child. They should be able to ground them, take them to AADAC course, eliminate any negative that may be in their child’s life.
We have essentially made it so the PARENTS have no rights.
I am terrified for our youth. You try crack, cocaine, crystal methamphetamine, ecstasy ONCE and you will either be addicted OR you could DIE!!!
I believe each generation has the opportunity to become smarter than the last. But, for the current generation in high school and junior high, you are ruining your chances.
Would you like to be on life support for the rest of your “life” because you took a pill at a party and whatever was laced in it reacted wrong with your body? Is your goal to be in a morgue when you are 15 or 16 or 17?
Grab a brain. You have only one shot at life, and one opportunity to ensure your life goes down the right track.
Your opportunities available to you are amazing, if you stay clean.
Do you really think that it’s cool to follow in the footsteps of your friends who are crack heads or screwed up on crystal meth?
I am scared for your parents, I’m scared for your life, and I’m scared what this could spell for our nation’s future. You are the individuals who will sculpt Canada’s future.
Stop in your tracks when someone offers you a pill or a hoot. There are so many things in life that can give you a natural “high”.
Spend time with your family. Take a trip quadding with your mother or father or friends. Watch wildlife nurturing their young.
Take time to evaluate what is actually worthwhile in life.
I can guarantee your friends who are already addicted to a heavy drug will be either dead, a vegetable or a nuisance to society.
What path do you want to take?
