Six swimmers from Smoky River Manatees participated in the Beaverlodge Barracudas Invitational Meet on June 27.

Smoky River Manatees and their parents celebrated Canada Day in a unique way on July 1. The team members and their parents took a break at the Falher Regional Campground. The team had a great amount of fun, and were ecstatic to have an opportunity to celebrate the patriotic day together.

Smoky River Manatees Swim Club participated in the Beaverlodge Barracudas Invitational Meet on June 27.
Six swimmers from the Manatees managed to finish with first place medals.
Dalyn Lauze competed in the 13 and 14 category in 50 m freestyle, 50 m butterfly, 200 m individual medley, and 100 m freestyle. He had two first place finishes, one second place finish and was disqualified from one race.
Lauren Lauze finished 1st in 50 m backstroke and 100 m freestyle. She finished 4th in 50 m freestyle and fourth in 50 m breaststroke. All her events were competed in the 11 & 12 year old girl category.
David Sanchez finished first in boys 9 & 10 year old 100 m freestyle, and second place in 50 m breaststroke, 25 m butterfly, and 50 m backstroke.
Edith Sanchez finished first in 50 m freestyle. She also finished 2nd girls 8 and under 25 m freestyle, and third in both 25 m butterfly and 25 m breaststroke.
Fernando Sanchez competed in the boys 11 & 12 year old category with a first in 100 m freestyle, 3rd 50 m freestyle, and fourth in both breaststroke and butterfly.
Marina Sanchez finished 1st in all of her events.
These included 100 m breaststroke, 200 m individual medley, 400m freestyle and 100 m backstroke.
