Manatees participants on Aug. 8 included: Manatees swim club members Cruz Cote, Walker Cote, David Sanchez, Emilie Tanguay, Quinn Cote, and Edith Sanchez. Middle: Marina Sanchez, Sabrina Tanguay, and Lauren Lauze. Back: Fernando Sanchez, David Owens, Taylor Cote and Dalyn Lauze. Junior Manatees have also had a great year.

Swim results for the Aug. 9 swim meet are as follows:
Cruz Cote competed in the boys 9 and 10 category and finished 1st in 25m butterfly with a time of 17:57, 1st in 50m freestyle at 35:44, and 3rd in 50m breaststroke with a time of 49:39.
Quinn Cote finished fifth in 25m backstroke at 27:82 and fifth in 50m freestyle with a time of 1:01:81. Both events were in the girls 8 and under category.
Taylor Cote competed in boys 15 and 16 with a 1st place finish in 100m freestyle with a time of 1:01:91 and 1st in 50m freestyle with a time of 26:27.
In the boys 11 and 12 category, Walker Cote finished 3rd in 1,500m freestyle with a time of 28:45:91 and 3rd in 50m breaststroke with a time of 48:25. He also finished 4th in 100m individual medley with a time of 1:33.:71 and 5th in 50 m butterfly with a time of 46:17.
Dayln Lauze was the Boys Top Aggregate winner. He won 1st in 50 m freestyle with a time of 29:16, and 1st in 100m freestyle with a time of 1:07:92. Both events were in the category of boys 13 and 14. Lauze placed 3rd in 50 m butterfly in the same category with a time of 34:53, and also came in 1st in the open 1500m freestyle with a time of 21:28:36.
Lauren Lauze competed in the girls 11 and 12 category and won 1st in 100m individual medley with a time of 1:38:87. She placed 2nd in 50m backstroke with a time of 44:57 and 4th in 100m freestyle with a time of 1:29:18.
David Owens came in 1st in 400m freestyle with a time of 5:41:27 and 2nd in 200m freestyle with a time of 2:30:46 in the category of boys 13 and over. In boys 17 and over Owens won 1st in 50m butterfly with a time of 33:75 and 2nd in 50m freestyle with a time of 27:95.
David Sanchez competed in the boys 9 and 10 category. He came in first in 50m breaststroke with a time of 48:93. Sanchez also came in 3rd in 25m butterfly with a time of 19:43, 3rd in 100m freestyle with a time of 1:21:48, and 4th in 50m freestyle with a time of 37.47.
Edith Sanchez was the Girls Top Aggregate winner. She took first in girls 8 and under category in the 25m butterfly with at time of 22:40. She also placed 2nd in 100m individual medley with a time of 1:54:21, 2nd in 25m breaststroke with a time of 29:37, and 3rd in 25m freestyle with a time of 20:04. All three events were also in the category of girls 8 and under.
Fernando Sanchez placed 2nd in boys 12 and under 200m freestyle with a time of 2:51:78. In boys 11 and 12, he placed 3rd in both 50m freestyle and 50 m butterfly with times of 34:46 and 41:19. He also placed 4th in the same category in 50m breaststroke with a time of 48:58.
Marina Sanchez was another Girls Top Aggregate winner. She placed first in 400m freestyle in the category of girls 13 and over with a time of 5:32:41. She also won 1st in all of her events in the category of girls 15 and 16, with times of 2:46:41 in 200m individual medley, 1:18:03 in 100m backstroke, and 1:25:67 in 100m breaststroke.
Emilie Tanguay competed in the girls 13 and 14 category. She took 1st with a time of 1:45:48 in 50m butterfly, adding her name to the list of Girls Top Aggregate winners.
Sabrina Tanguay also won Girls Top Aggregate, taking three 1st place finishes in the category of girls 15 and 16. Her times were 34:77 in 50m butterfly, 32:58 in 50m freestyle, and 1:12:09 in 100m freestyle. Tanguay also won 1st in 100m butterfly with a time of 1:24:93 in the category of girls 15 and over.
In the girls 15 and 16 category 200m medley relay, Lauren Lauze, Marina Sanchez, Sabrina Tanguay, and Quinn Cote placed 1st with a time of 3:07:81. In the girls 15 and 16 category 200m freestyle relay, Marina Sanchez, Edith Sanchez, Lauren Lauze and Sabrina Tanguay placed 1st with a time of 2:28:37.
In the boys 11 and 12 category 200m medley relay, Cruz Cote, Walker Cote, Fernando Sanchez, and David Sanchez placed 2nd with a time of 2:52:96. The boys also placed 2nd in the 200m free relay in the same category with a time of 2:25:70.
