Up Front - Local vandalism irritating landowners

I would be lying if I told you vandals don’t make me so mad I’d like to take personal action to rectify their cowardly actions.
In the past few weeks I’ve been told about, or witnessed the damage created by the lowest, scummiest human beings in our society. I’m speaking directly about the low-life, childish, (obviously lacking brain cells), slime-buckets living amongst us.
Recently, the Guy-Donnelly Sportex played victim to these vandals. Breaking into the community building, the vandals thought it would be a good idea to use the fire extinguishers to make a mess around the Sportex. Not only did the vandals use the extinguishers (which cost approximately $250 each to re-fill), they also decided spraying the fluid throughout the building was a great plan.
Congratulations vandals! Now this centre, which volunteers endlessly care for and attempt to renovate for the community, was the brunt of a childish act.
The clean up job in the Sportex cost approximately $18,000! I wish the Sportex could have afforded to have cameras across the premise. If so, you would have been caught and forced to serve community hours.
How can recking a perfectly good arena be a good plan? Your crazy plan could have taken away from renovations currently underway at the Sportex. Shame on you! I hope Karma bites you on the buttocks.
I had a local man approach me, concerned about recent occurrences of signs being shot throughout the MD.
What type of glory can you possibly get from shooting at signs? Do you realize how much money these signs cost?
If you are caught in this act, not only are you utilizing a weapon in an unsafe manner, you are also vandalizing private property! Quit acting like your head is stuck up where the sun doesn’t shine.
Do you realize how hard it is to purchase something of your own? Likely not! If you did, you would respect the time and money people have invested to make their life more fulfilling.
Are you jealous? Is that your motive? Maybe you should get a job, save some money and find a way to buy your own future.
I’ve even noticed vandalism by my private property, which irks me and makes me furious in a way you would never want to see me.
Apparently “No trespassing” means “Welcome to my property, please drive wherever you’d like and ruin my crop!” I am not afraid to call the cops on you and charge you with trespassing, and I hope others in the area feel the same.
I don’t work hundreds of hours every month to see you ruin my hard earned investment.
You think trespassing fines are minimal, ha! How about $25,000 plus possible jail time. Wouldn’t that teach you, you darned heathens!
It’s time individual property owners and local committees had a say about what is happening to our properties.
It is probably in your best interest to completely quit vandalizing our properties. I doubt anybody is pleased with your actions.
If attention is what you crave, how about trying to something beneficial for the community?
There are a lot of volunteer positions just waiting to be filled by willing and able bodies.
Just think about the money you are costing tax payers, not only in our community but across the province.
We have local government fighting hard to improve our communities, have a little pride in their efforts.
