Donnelly Corn Roast

Fabrice and Vanessa Marquis play in the Bouncy Castle at Donnelly’s annual corn roast held on Aug. 30 at the Smoky River Agricultural Fair Grounds in the Village of Donnelly. The event is a fundraiser hosted by the Donnelly Recreation Society in partnership with CREF and ACFA. Money raised will be put towards buying new playground equipment to replace the aging equipment in the village. Nearly 147 plates were sold and almost $950 was raised in efforts to replace the playground equipment. Volunteers are needed for work bees this fall to clear the ground for the playground, such as the work bee held September 1 to cut down trees at the old park. More volunteers will be needed for the playground’s installation next spring. To donate or volunteer call Cindy at 780-925-2332, or the Village Office at 780-925-3835.
