Ride ‘em, cowgirl!

The Royal Purple’s District 2 held its second annual Traveling Gavel event in McLennan on Oct. 3. This year’s theme was “Hoe Down.” Eight lodges from communities across the region were invited to come have lunch together. Members enjoyed the opportunity to reminisce about good times of the past and create some new memories. As the gavel was passed to each lodge in turn, lodge members sang songs, told jokes, performed skits and even square danced.
