New Sears store owner, with children’s clothing now available

The Sears Catalogue Agency in Falher is welcoming a new owner for the second time this year.
Falher resident Nicole Ethier recently purchased the store from Charlene Marchildon in October.
“I’ve always wanted to own my business,” says Ethier. “Now I have also brought in some children’s clothing to fill the front room of the Sears building.”
The children’s line of clothing includes Old Navy, Gymboree, Please Mum and Children’s Place brand name clothing.
“People in town like brand name clothing for their children and have had to go out of town in the past to purchase it,” says Ethier. “Now we carry many of the items and it still actually retails cheaper than what you would purchase it for at the actual store.”
In addition to bringing in children’s clothing, Ethier has also brought in Niki Boucher’s line of jewellery. The jewellery is all homemade out of sterling silver.
“None of Niki’s pieces are the same,” says Ethier. “They all have unique qualities about them.”
Ethier will also still be a Sears pick-up location.
“One great thing about sears is there’s a price match guarantee,” she says. “If customers find the appliance cheaper somewhere else for cheaper, Sears will match the cost.”
She also carries some appliances at the shop, but can order a variety of your home appliance needs right from the Falher location.
The first Sears outlet was introduced to Falher in 1971 by Bob and Doris Doyle. Ethier is the sixth owner of the agency in the community.
Also located in the store are Gaetan’s Hair Fashions and Fancy Fingers.
Store hours are Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with Thursday hours extended to 5:30 p.m. Ethier says she has decided to start opening on Saturdays as well, with store hours being from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
