Lakeland smokes Falher 13 – 5

The most anticipated NPHL game in the Smoky River Region was played on Nov. 26 in Falher. Lakeland Eagles visited the Falher Pirates, hoping to stand tall on top of the East Division standings. The two teams, speculated by many in the region as equally matched, squared off in Falher’s barn hoping to prove their superiority. Falher came up short through 60 minutes of play, completely dominated by the offense of the Lakeland Eagles. Pirates and Eagles will match up again tomorrow night in McLennan, where Falher will try to gain back two points in the stands. As of press time the Pirates were tied with Lakeland, with two games in hand. Coverage of last weekend’s games will be in next week’s Express.
