The Bank of Montreal staff in Falher conducted their 11th annual fundraiser for the Palliative Care facility in McLennan.
The fundraiser garnished $2,060.25 to be used by the Palliative Care facility, and BMO branch manager Carrie Bartel explains the money was all obtained through the generosity of individuals in the community.
“During the month of October, donations are collected with the chance of winning one of two prizes purchased by the BMO staff,” says Bartel. “One hundred per cent of money contributed is donated to the Palliative Care facility.”
Over the past 11 years, BMO has managed to raise over $18,800 for Palliative Care.
“We have chosen the Palliative Care Unit as this is a non-profit organization that benefits everyone in our community,” says Bartel.
“Customers and community members are very generous when they know the monies collected stay within the community.”
This year, the branch had two prizes to use in their draw, including a two-man pop-up tent and a patio set.
Winners of the prizes included Louise Garand, who won the pop-up tent, and Giselle Soucy, who won the patio set.
“The staff at BMO would like to thank everyone for their donations, and hope to see them again next year.”
