Badges and awards given to Twilight Figure Skaters

Members of the Twilight Figure Skating Club had a special surprise on Dec. 16 as Jolly Ol’ Saint Nick visited the Guy-Donnelly Sportex in Donnelly. The club had gathered for a regular practice and were shocked when Santa Claus made a special visit to see the skaters.

Twilight Figure Skating Club members were greeted with a special surprise last Wednesday when Santa Claus appeared at the Guy-Donnelly Sportex just in time for the students to pass their skating stage.
Coach Michelle Pitre explains there are six badge levels, and although there is a seventh, it is optional.
Passing stage one this term were eight skaters: Jalene Boucher, Jayden Boucher, Hannah Dion, Cameron Henley, Kolbie Horvath, Hailey Limoges, Kelsey Weselfatt, and Brianna Willier.
Successfully completing stage two was: Jalene Boucher, Jayden Boucher, Kolbie Horvath, Hailey Limoges, and Kelsey Weselfatt.
Stage three successors included Jalene Boucher, Hailey Limoges, Kelsey Weselfatt, and Jessica Willier.
Passing stage four was Kelsey Weselfatt.
Skater of the month for the Canskate programs, stages 1–4 was Jayden Boucher. Starskate skater of the month from stages 5–7 was Ashley Labrecque. Coach Pitre says Boucher showed a lot of enthusiasm, while Labrecque was persistent and dedicted.
