Pirates thought they should have it in the bag, when visiting Valleyview Jets rolled into town.

Just over a week after dominating the Jets in back-to-back home games, the Pirates caught themselves on the other end of the stick.

Valleyview came out flying in the first period, scoring four goals on Pirates starting goal tender Stephane Pelletier. Jets markers were made by Calvin Slemp, Ryan Reeves, Matt Albnati, and Mackenzie Caron.

Falher made just one goal on the power play, with forward Denis Rochon scoring at 3:38 of the first. The goal was unassisted.

Pirates were determined to come back in the second, scoring three consecutive goals just five minutes apart. Goals were awarded to Blake Myatt, Jason Bouchard, and Ryan Hicks. Assists were awarded to Jason Bouchrd, Myatt, Joel Pelletier, Rochon, and Matts Maisonneuve.

Valleview scored one lone goal in the second. The goal was scored by Frazier Caron at 12:40, with assists awarded to Ryan Reeves and Mackenzie Caron.

Valleyview went into the third period with a one goal advantage. Score at the beginning of the third was 5-4 in favour of the Jets.

Third period action was even, with Jets opening the scoring at just 28 seconds. The goal was scored by Reeves, assisted by Mac Caron and Kelby Eaton.

Pirates answered back 10 minutes later with a goal by Bouchard, assisted by Myatt at 10:51.

Valleyview would not be out-done, scoring at 18:02 short handed. The goal was scored by Mac Caron, assisted by Don Terpsma.

Pirates final goal of the game was scored at 18:19 by Ryan Hicks, assisted by Maisonneuve.

Special teams were a factor, with the Pirates giving 12 power play opportunities to the Jets in their 7–6 win. The Jets only managed to capitalize on two of the 12 opportunities.

Falher had just four power plays, in which they managed to score one power play marker in the first. Final shots on goal were 38 – 27 in favour of the Jets. Game winning goal was scored by Mac Caron.
