Falher Pirates beat Kings in Fairview on Jan. 14

Falher Pirates swung into Fairview on Jan. 14.
The game came shortly after being awarded a loss by NPHL officials for the use of an illegal player in the game against Lakeland in Falher on Jan. 8.
Pirates brought only 14 skaters and two goalies into their game against Fairview, hoping to make a dent in the NPHL divisions.
First period saw very little action, with no goals for either team and only two penalties taken, one by each team.
Second period action was opened up by Fairview, who scored at 6:30 on the power play with a goal by Cory Cox. Assists were awarded to Chase Helgesen and Keith Johnson.
Pirates came back at 16:40 on a power play with a goal by power forward Keith Reade. Assists were earned by Jason Bouchard and Jeff Chalifoux.
Pirates made it 2–1 shortly after their power play marker even strength at 18:26 again by Reade and assisted by Bouchard.
Fairview attempted a comeback at the beginning of the third period with a goal by Trevor Morrow assisted by Dustin Craig and Mich Landry at 10:06 of the third.
Falher made the comeback short-lived at 10:34 when they scored their third of the game. Reade completed his hat trick assisted once again by Bouchard.
Jared Zawacki made the game a 4–2 Pirates advantage at 13:41 with assists by Kurtis Swanson and Evan Zawacki.
Matts Maisonneuve finished off the scoring at 14:47 unassisted and short handed. Final score of the game was 5–2 in favour of the Pirates.
Pirates win was awarded to starting goalie Todd Rodgers. Pirates capitalized on one of seven power play opportunities, while Fairview scored one on four chances.
The game winning goal was scored by forward Keith Reade.
Pirates final game of the season will be played on Feb. 6 against the High Prairie Regals.
