Doris’ Country Gift Shop now open in Donnelly

A new store has opened its doors in Donnelly, providing a new shopping experience to individuals in the Smoky River Region.
The store, appropriately called Doris’ Country Gift Shop, is owned and operated by Doris Carley.
She says her store offers the experience of an old fashion country service.
“My displays are stocked with natural products made right in Alberta,” says Carley. “Such as the soothing aromas of Rocky Mountain soaps. Spa gift sets (are also available), as well as the very popular Pumpkin Patch Soap that combats itchiness and the unscented body butter for eczema troubled skin.”
The store opened its doors in Donnelly at the old Backtracks, located directly south of the Canada Post Office.
“We also feature Mother Earth Essentials, a wonderful assortment of products made from flowers and plants harvested from the Lac Ste Anne area,” she says. “Herbal teas, hand poured soy candles and relaxing mineral baths are available. There is a nice variety to compliment the selection of items including natural honey products.”
Carley says she will welcome and display art work on consignment from the northern Alberta region.
“There is an abundance of skilled and talented individuals in our area and their products and creativity definitely brings something special to our communities.”
Adding a little home flavour, in Doris’ words, adds a unique shopping experience in the area.
Doris’ Country Gift Shop is opened Tuesdays to Saturdays from 10 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.
