Bee Healthy health store opens in Falher

Bee Health officially opened in Falher on Feb. 24, located in the IGA strip mall on Main Street.

Owner and operator Lucie Sauvageau explains she has hoped to have her own health store for many years.

“I decided to open up a health store because I felt our community was in dire need of one,” says Sauvageau. “ It was something I had wanted to do for a number of years, and I thought with the previous one shutting down, the timing was right.”

Sauvageau says her interest in healthy alternatives began when her children were quite young. She says when they would get sick she wanted to find a healthy alternative to medicine, this directly led to her interest in health supplies.

She carries a variety of items in her store; including: vitamins, herbal supplements, essential oils, homeopathic remedies, sports nutrition information, mom and baby care items (99 per cent organic), as well as a number of other items.

“People are starting to take charge of their health and are always looking for information or advice when buying natural health products, and my goal is to provide it as best as I possibly can.”

Sauvageau also supplies her personally handmade line called Country Corner, all natural products that include body soaps and lotions.

“I started making my own body care items and slowly began mass producing the items,” she says.

Also on hand at Bee Healthy is a variety of reading books that span all subjects. Pregnancy books, fertility books, weight loss information, and various books about diseases can all be found at the store.

Lucie is certified as a nutritional therapist and says she can inform people about the products she carries.

“In the future, I plan on organizing some workshops, lectures and also invite a variety of therapists like iridologists, live blood analists, to come to the store for a couple of day for those who might be interested,” she explains.

Store hours of Bee Health are Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. The store will also be open during lunch hours.

Chez Marthe

Also available in the Bee Healthy store is Chez Marthe, previously located in a different building in Falher.

Marthe Robert conducts a variety of energy correction and energy channelling practices to ease stress and correct emotional imbalances.

She practices both Reiki and Yune.

“Every session is very personal, and we can correct energy imbalances that need to be corrected,” says Robert, who explains taking care of stress in life is very important. “I scan you body and work with the part that needs to be fixed.”

Robert has been doing these practices for five years. Her business hours are from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

“This is a healthy option instead of anti-depressants,” she explains. “The treatments also act as preventative medicine. When you are tired or stressed out, the treatments can help you relax nd refocus.”

If you would like more information on the treatments or would like to book an appointment, please phone Marthe at 780-625-8492 or 780-837-6243.

She says, “ Making the appointment is the first step to the healing process.”

Cleanse your colon

Michelle Duval offers a number of alternative therapies to clean and detoxify the body.

“Spring and fall are really good times to do a detox,” Duval says. “It’s a change of season and with a seasonal change you want to do a cleanse to prepare your body for the cold of winter, and to clean up after winter.”

Duval offers clients several different therapy options at her clean, quiet and discrete office at Bee Healthy.

“Bowen therapy is muscle manipulation but it’s not like a massage,” Duval explains. “I pluck muscles like guitar strings and send vibrations to the brain, which resets the body to its original blueprint.”

Duval says the therapy takes the memory out of the muscle, allowing it to return to its proper place. She says it works on everything from pain and injuries to hernias, indigestion, migraines, and more.

Duval also offers colon hydrotherapy.

“It’s a cleanse. I physically clean your colon with water using FDA approved equipment,” Duval says.

The session lasts an hour. Clients also receive nutritional therapy and abdominal massage as part of the session.

“The benefits are detoxification and higher absorption rates,” Duval says.

She adds that other physical ailments like headaches, depression, fatigue, and brain fog may also be alleviated by the treatment, since they have a correlation to the health of the bowel.

Duval also offers biofeedback sessions which she uses a frequency machine to see what issues are going on inside the body.

For more information on any of her treatments or to book an appointment, please phone Michelle at 780-618-2232.
