Athletics beat out Eagles to win NPHL cup
After about a month of playoff hockey, Lakeland Eagles and Grande Prairie Athletics faced off in the final round. The best-of-five

of the series in overtime by a score of 5–4. The second game was controlled by the Athletics, who managed to smoke the Eagles in
McLennan 10–3. Grande Prairie continued their winning trend on March 20 outscoring the Eagles 6–5. Play returned to McLennan
on March 22 with the Eagles facing elimination. They managed to beat the Athletics by a score of 3–2 to force game five. Game five
was played in Grande Prairie on March 24. The game wrapped up the season for the NPHL with the Athletics winning by a margin of 6–3.
