OBIT ~ Eva Johnson, 1924-2011

Eva Johnson, resident of Guy, AB, passed away on January 17, 2011 in McLennan at the age of 87 years.
Eva was born on January 16, 1924 at Vivian, South Dakota, USA. She arrived in Wainwright, AB, Canada in 1925 and moved to Falher, AB in 1928.
Eva was predeceased by her husband, Joseph in 1985; son, Gilbert in 1950; her sister, Jeanne in 2005 her father, Romeo, and mother, Maria in 1980 and 1975. She is survived by daughters, Yvonne, Alice and Monique, 10 sons, including Romeo, Paul, Denis, Gilbert, Laurent, Ernest, Richard, Eugene, Marcel and Arthur, and many nephews and nieces.
Eva raised 13 children with Joseph on a farm in Guy.
She worked hard and still had time to enjoy life playing cards, being on numerous community committees - especially being vice-president of the Guy Historical Book Committee.
Eva is remembered as an unconditional giver of time, energy, love and joy for life.

Funeral services for the late Eva Johnson were held January 21, 2011 at 10:30 am from the Guy Catholic Church with Reverend Charles Lavoie officiating.
Donations can be made to palliative care at Sacred Heart Community Health Care Centre in McLennan.
