Les Kato, resident of Valleyview, Alberta passed away at the Valleyview Health Care Centre in the early hours of August 14, 2011 at the age of 59 years.

Les was born in McLennan, Alberta to Jim and Lucy Kato. He was predeceased by his parents.

Les will be sadly missed by his loving partner, Elsie, his children, Frank (Hope), Lucas; Cam (Tara), Justin, Tralynn, Parker; Dean (Trish), Kane, Taylor; Ashley (Thomas), Rylee; stepdaughter Jacki (Curtis), Dylan, Hayden, Emma; sister Lil (Roger) and their three children.

Les enjoyed life to the fullest, his favorite pastimes were traveling, quading and cattle ranching.

He was mischievious even in his last days and will always be remembered with a smile for his trickster ways.

A celebration of his life was held at the St. Guy Roman Catholic Church in Guy.
