OBIT ~ Jeannine Cecile Verreault 1903-2011

July 15, 1903 to September 18, 2011
Jeannine Cécile Verreault (Rochette) was born in Dupuis, Abitibi Quebec on July 15, 1930 and passed away September 18, 2011 at the Central Peace Health Complex in Spirit River at 81 years of age.
Jeannine was a longtime resident of Tangent, Alberta.
She is predeceased by her husband Joseph Verreault, and parents Archille Rochette and Irene (Larose).
She and the whole family moved to Tangent, in July 1944. She worked at a Falher coffee shop, up till she met and married Joseph Verreault on November 25, 1947, in Tangent.
With farming being the family tradition for many years, they settled in their hometown of Tangent, and pursed farming.
They had two children, Roger and Norman.
Her two sons were the loves of her life.
Life consisted of looking after two rambunctious boys, and putting in long hours in farming activities.
Jeannine would drive farm equipment, prepare meals and look after the house and the family - along with planting a big garden, and taking care of her passion which were flowers everywhere.
Her other passions included: scrapbooking, reading and writing, and fulfilling her commitment with the Dames de Ste-Anne society.
The highlights of her life were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She would enjoy spoiling the children, which included making them their favourite treat: “Sucre à la crème”.
She is survived by two sons, Normand (Doreen) and Roger, five grandchildren, Micheal, Joann, Denis, Daniel Verreault and Lorraine Plowman; 11 great-grandchildren, Micheal Ragan, Breanne Harrison, Taylor Harrison, Wyatt Hodges, Vanessa Verreault, Dustin Verreault, Christopher Verreault, Anthony Verreault, Tracy Verreault, Sara Plowman and Jordanna Plowman; six sisters; Réjeanne, Thérèse, Rita (Alphonse), Cécile (Yvon), Jacqueline and Annette (François), one brother Lionel (Claire).
Funeral services for Jeannine were held at the Sts-Martyrs Catholic Parish in, Tangent, Alberta on Sept. 22, 2011 with internment at Tangent Cemetery, Tangent, Alberta.
