Falher, Alberta

Inga Blomert, 1914 - 2007

Inga Josephine Holte Blomert, late of Eaglesham, died in McLennan Sacred Heart Community Health Centre hospital on Oct. 8, 2007 at 94 years of age. Inga was born July 29, 1914 in Washington State, United States, the youngest child of Ole and Klara Holte, and had seven brothers and one sister. She moved with her family to Amisk, Alberta in 1914. Inga married Pete Blomert on Nov. 29, 1936 in Amisk and lived there during the first years of marriage. The couple then moved north or Eaglesham for a couple of years before finally settling in a home in Eaglesham with their young daughter. Around 1945, Pete got into the Caterpillar equipment business, digging dugouts for farmers and then later land-clearing, brushing, and piling land. This necessitated hired men, which, along with twin boys born in 1946, kept Inga busy with mothering, cooking, and cleaning. Inga loved to crochet, knit, grow houseplants, and do crossword puzzles and picture puzzles. Bingo was a must, as were Nevada tickets. In the earlier years, she loved to play the accordian and piano. Inga is predeceased by her husband Pete who died in May 1979, and great-grand- daughter Sheena Boivin in December 1984. Inga is survived by: -daughter Bernice (Elten) Lee of Eaglesham. -grandson Robert (Catherine) Lee of Langley, British Columbia; -greatgrandson Benjamin Lee and Graham Lee. -granddaughter Debora (Alain) Boivin of Eaglesham -great-granddaughters Janine Boivin and Danelle Boivin. -granddaughter Carol (Brian) Stott of Westlock, Alberta. -great-grandson Craig Stott and great-granddaughter Nicole Stott. -son Gerald (Francois) Blomert of Eaglesham. -granddaughter JoAnne Blomert of Edmonton. -grandson Peter (Debbie White) Blomert of Eaglesham. -great granddaughter Shannon Blomert. -son Terrance (Gernate) Blomert of Black Diamond. -granddaughter Jolene Blomert and grandson Garret Blomert. -son Barry (Maureen) Blomert of Swift Current, Saskatchewan. -granddaughters Erin Blomert and Kristin Blomert. Funeral services were held Oct. 13 at Eaglesham Community Church with Pastor Dave Squires officiating. Interment took place at Pleasant Heights Cemetery.
