Marcel Cloutier, 1953-2008

Marcel Cloutier passed away in Vancouver after a brief struggle with bone marrow cancer on the morning of June 17, 2008. Born on Aug. 29, 1953, Marcel is survived by his son Trenton (daughter-in-law Cindy, grandchildren Kristina and David) and his mother Colombe. He is also survived by his brothers: Art (Yvette), Jacques (Pat), Clem (Claire), Gerry, Bob (Kelly), his sister Nicole Telosky (Steve) and his godchild Josee Cloutier. He leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He also leaves to mourn his very special friend Veronica Schnell, the Barsaloux family and a great many friends in Donnelly and Kamloops, B.C. He was pre-deceased by his father Maurice (2006), and brothers Roger (1987) and Paul (1960). Funeral services were held in his home town of Donnelly on June 21, 2008. Marcel will be greatly missed by the many friends he made, both in Kamloops and elsewhere, through his involvement in Métis organisations, and through his lifelong passions of golfing, fishing and working as a salesman in the farm and ranch industry. A pot luck celebration of Marce’s life was held in Pinintan Lake on July 19. Donations on Marcel’s behalf can be made to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.
