Blanche Imelda Dumas passed away peacefully in McLennan at the age of 88. Blanche was born in Falher on September 11, 1920.
Blanche taught grades one and two at Ecole Routhier for 33 years before retiring in 1979.
In 2000, she moved to Villa Beausejour where she resided until her passing on August 21, 2009.
Blanche was predesceased by her husband Wilfrid on October 27, 1993, as well as her parents Frank and Elise Legault and her siblings Auxilliatrice Lessard, Benoit, Alberic, and Jeannine Ouellette.
Blanche is survived by her two sisters Rose Martel of Kelowna, B.C., and Yvette Robertson of St. Alberta as well as numerous cousins and friends.
Blanche’s family will miss her loving nature, gentleness, and appreciation of others.
Funeral services for the late Blanche Dumas were held August 26, 2009 in Falher at the Ste. Anne Roman Catholic Church with Reverend Charles Lavoie officiating. The organist was Nicole Beaudoin.
Blanche’s family would like to extend a big thank you to the homecare nurses, PCA’s, and Villa staff who cared for her prior to her passing.
