Elizabeth Guindon 1930-2009

EIizabeth (Betty Macdaid) Guindon of McLennan passed away on Oct. 30, 2009 in McLennan at the age of 79 years.
She was born on Feb. 25, 1930 in Edmonton, Alberta. Elizabeth was raised in Eaglesham and moved to McLennan in 1952.
She worked at the McLennan Hospital for fifteen years, Donnelly Corner Restaurant, and the Q-Mart in McLennan, for many years during her 59 years in McLennan.
Betty enjoyed her many friends and family.
Her door was always open and the tea was always on. She especially enjoyed her many grandchildren and great- grandchildren. She went out of her way to make each and every one of them feel special.
Betty also enjoyed sports, gardening and birds/wildlife. She was also very artistic and enjoyed knitting, sewing and crocheting for her friends and family.
She was predeceased by her parents Jean & Leo Macdaid, her sister, Mary Tansem (St. Albert) and brother Andrew Macdaid (Eaglesham).
Betty is survived by her daughters, Sheryle (Dave) Harper of McLennan/Calahoo, AB, Deb (Ron) Scott of Duffield, son Richard Guindon of McLennan, seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, sister Kay (Mike) Stephano of Gunn, sister Rita Macdaid and brother Jim Macdaid of Edmonton, brother Edward (Lorraine) Macdaid of St. Albert, and sister-in-law Katie Macdaid of Eaglesham.
She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In keeping with her wishes a private service will be observed by the immediate family.
Cremation by Chapel of Memories in Peace River.
