Lillian Hebert, 1924-2007

Lillian Gilberte Hebert, longtime resident of Falher, passed away September 1, 2007 in McLennan at Sacred Heart Community Health Centre at 83 years of age. Lillian was born June 15, 1924 in Marcellin, Saskatchewan and arrived in Falher in 1955. She worked as a cook at Roger’s Steakhouse from 1955 to 1962. Then she was hired to work at Falher Co-op as cafeteria manager, a position she held until she retired in 1978. She enjoyed curling, playing cards, and traveling. Her home was always open to her many friends and family. Lillian is predeceased by her first husband Hernir Frechette, her parents Louis ands Therese Marin, sister Angeline, and brothers Florient, Roland, Dick, and Alfred. She is survived by her loving husband Leon; son Maurice (Toni) Frechette of Whitecourt, daughter Louise (Arnie) Bencharski of Airdrie; granddaughter Josee Hayden (Lance); grandsons Derrick Frechette, Jordan Bencharski, and Graeme Bencharski; sister Sister Therese Marin of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan; brother Louis (Angele) Marin of Spiritwood, Saskatchewan; and Edward Marin of Millet. Funeral services for the late Lillian Hebert were held Sept. 4 in Falher at Ste. Anne Roman Catholic Church with Reverend Boniface N’Kulu Lupitshi OSB officiating. Ginette Aubin was organist and soloist. Pallbearers were Graeme Bencharski, Jordan Bencharski, Derrick Frechette, Michael Caron, Darryl Hebert, and Gilles Roy. Interment followed at Ste. Anne Cemetery in Falher. If friends so desire, donations may be made to Ste. Anne Church Elevator Fund as expressions of sympathy. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Chapel of Memories in Peace River.
