Ernest Isert, 1927-2008

Ernest Carl Isert resident of McLennan passed away April 3, 2008 at the age of 80 years. He was born December 21, 1927 in Islay, Alberta. Ernie is survived by his wife; Germaine (Lafleur), children; Dwaine (Paulette Lavoie) of McLennan, Brian (Juanita Barnes) of Moscow, Russia, Dennis (Wanda Nawrot) of McLennan and Barbara Curry of Victoria, B.C. as well as sixteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; one brother Oscar (Lorraine), sisters Evelyn (Harvey) Scaman and Anita (Milan) Kons. Ernie was predeceased by: his parents Karl and Gladys Isert; one brother William Isert and one sister Clara Snoble. Funeral Services were held at St. John the Baptist Cathedral in McLennan, Alberta on April 8, 2008 with Rev. Joseph Jacobson and Rev. Charles Lavoie officiating. Pallbearers were: Dwayne Isert Jr., Patrick Isert, Michael Curry, Darren Isert, Karl Isert, Benjamin Isert, Daniel Born, Shawn O'Shea. Cross Bearer: Ross Farney. Readings were read by: Tasha Pitre, Crystal Isert, Cheryl Isert and Charlene Curry. Eulogist were: Angele O'Shea and Charlene Curry. Slide Presentation by: Amy Isert. Song by: Elizabeth and Emma Isert. Casket made by: Darren Isert. Interment followed at the McLennan Catholic Cemetery.
