Falher, Alberta

Omer Laurin, ?-2008

Omer Laurin, longtime resident of Tangent, passed away peacefully in his home on April 14, 2008, at the age of 77. Left to cherish his memory is his wife Irene of 52 years, his children, Michel of Falher, Annette (Leon) of Barrhead, Helen of Turner Valley, Pauline (James) of Tangent, Bob (Denise) of Red Deer, Gaetanne of Camrose, his grandchildren, Alain, Colin (Irene), Pierre, Daniel, Lynn, Corey, Ryan, Dawn (Chris), Terra and his one great-granddaughter, Annie. Omer was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend who was always waiting with a big smile on his face for anyone who came to visit. He enjoyed playing crib and especially liked to beat his kids and the grandkids. It always made him laugh. We will all miss playing cards with him. Omer was always available to help in any way that he could. No matter what needed to be built, or repaired, he would figure it out. Sometimes it didn't look too pretty, but it would always work. We could always count on him to be there for all of us. His passion was farming, which he worked hard at his entire life. He was very meticulous and very successful at it. We will miss your quiet and gentle ways. He did so much and asked so little. you will be greatly missed by each and every one of us.
