Paul Legdon of McLennan passed away on Aug. 23 in McLennan at the age of 83 years.
He was born on July 20, 1926 in Mundare, Alberta. He retired from N.A.R./C.N. In 1982.
He was a member of the McLennan Fire Department for many years and an active member of the Golden Age Club.
He was predeceased by his wife Vivian in 2004, his parents Anne and William Legdon, and two sisters Mary and Clara.
Paul is survived by his brother Antony Legdon of Victoria, B.C., by his daughters Dianne (Ned) Reynolds of Prince George, B.C., Debbie (Bob) Fisher of Fort Saskatchewan, AB, and son Bill (Colleen) Legdon of Fort McMurray, AB, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
In keeping with his wishes a private memorial service was held Aug. 29 at the Chapel of Memories in Peace River with Deacon Reg Bouchard officiating.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks and gratitude to Dr. Sandra De Souza, the staff at the McLennan hospital and the Manoir du Lac for their support and loving care, we will be forever thankful.
