OBIT ~ Florence Marie Lloyd, 1938-2010

Florence Marie Lloyd (Flo) beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend, passed away with grace and dignity at the Sacred Heart Hospital in McLennan on January 3 at the age of 71 years.
Florence was taken from very swiftly and unexpectedly, but her family feels blessed that she did not suffer long, and she is resting in God’s house.
Florence was born on October 16, 1938 in McLennan, Alberta.
She will be sadly missed by her children: Leslie (Debbie) of Clairmont, AB, Jane (Peter) Serr of Winnipeg, MB, William (Michelle) of Valleyview, AB, JoAnn (Alan) Hanson of Brooks, AB, Brian (Cindy ) of Grande Prairie, AB, Laurrie Dumont of McLennan, AB, Donna (Wade) Kirkpatrick of Fort St. John, BC.
She also lovingly leaves behind 14 grandchildren: Michael, Joshua, Christy-Lynn (Jud), Martin, Terrance, Daren, Lindsay, Bryan, Evan, Sara, Spencer, Jessica, Devon, Jayson, Shelby and two great grandchildren Clayton and Emmersyn her mother Nina Dupuis and two brothers, Romeo and Phillip.
She was predeceased by her husband Donald Edward Lloyd (Don) and her father Edward Dupuis.
Florence’s passions in life were her children, grandchildren, family and friends. She enjoyed time spent with friends over a nice cup of coffee and good conversation.
Her greatest passion was sewing for her grandchildren and family, especially when it came to weddings and social events that included her children. She also enjoyed crocheting, art and crafts.
No job was to big or to complicated when it came to creating things with her own hands this includes preparing beautiful dinners for whomever was there to enjoy.
Upon moving into the Villa Beausejou in Falher, Florence was greeted by an unexpected experience of love and joy and new found friends.
Her family we would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to everyone at the Villa. You helped to bring the joy back to her spirit, and the bounce back into her voice.
We know she will be missed by all. A special thank you to her personal friend Frank Brochu who was by her side when she passed.
She will be forever missed and forever in our thoughts and in our hearts.
